About Loony Literature

Loony Literature is  a collective of written and visual work which uses our literary and historical heritage as a springboard to inspire people to read, write, act and film more.  We work from The Loony Literature  Laboratory which is in The Deserted Village.

Michelle has a B.A. (Hons) Literature and a M.A. (Creative Writing).  She has written two children’s books “Will Blyton and The Stinking Shadow” and “Frankenstein’s Revenge – a play full of shifty manoeuvres and time travel.”   Frankenstein’s Revenge has since been re-written and is going to be touring schools this summer. Although, children’s books and plays are her first love, she had had regular success with children’s short stories and articles in a national magazine. She also writes copy for business. You can find a selection of her children’s short stories on Alfie Dog Fiction.  In 2014,  along with five other writers, she won  a chance to appear at Chipping Norton Literary Festival along with writer Jane Wenham Jones and literary agent, Carole Blake.

She successfully home educated Will for ten years and is now trying to help others have the same results. Currently working on  several interesting projects, including a new children’s book, she hopes to get others being creative .   Other interests include family history and walking.

Will is the teenage part of the duo and is interested in acting, writing and politics.  He has LAMDA qualifications, has taken part in Connections with the National Theatre,  has his own website-  the consultingdetectivesblog.com, has interviewed writers such as Darren Shan and Alex Scarrow .  He is dedicated to Doctor Who and wants to play Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company one day.
